Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Medical Secretary to provide essential administrative support within our healthcare facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with office and administrative experience to contribute to a professional healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

* Managing patient appointment schedules efficiently and courteously
* Answering phone calls and responding to patient enquiries in a professional manner
* Preparing and maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
* Assisting with billing procedures and processing insurance claims
* Coordinating communication between doctors, patients, and other healthcare professionals
* Handling correspondence, including emails and postal mail, related to patient care
* Ensuring compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations
* Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry

Experience

* Previous office experience within a healthcare or similar environment is preferred
* Administrative experience demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail is essential
* Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare systems is advantageous but not mandatory
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,960.00-£29,120.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

Work Location: In person
