Our client is a specialist manufacturing company based in Oxford, providing high precision cutting services across a wide range of materials for engineering, manufacturing, and creative industries. We are looking for a Workshop Assistant to join our busy team. This is a hands-on role supporting the daily running of the workshop, ensuring smooth operations, and assisting with production tasks. You'll play an important part in maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with the setup and operation of cutting machinery
* Handling and preparing materials for cutting
* Carrying out quality checks on finished products
* Packing and dispatching customer orders
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
* Supporting senior machinists and engineers with day-to-day tasks
Skills & Qualities
* Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions and work accurately under pressure
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
* Previous workshop or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential - training will be provided
