Job overview
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated full-time Therapy Assistant to join the Cambridge South City Community Rehabilitation team based at Nye Bevan House, Brookfields Hospital, Mill Rd, Cambridge CB DF. You will be fully supported by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy to patients with primarily physical disabilities.
The Community Rehabilitation Team provides rehabilitation, housing adaptations, moving and handling to adults over years and works collaboratively with nurses, mental health practitioners, and other multidisciplinary professionals in the Cambridgeshire area.
CPFT supports the Health Education England, Allied Health Professional, Support workforce framework, which provides structured learning for support workers and encourages career development.
Main duties of the job
Please note: For this role, you will be required to travel independently around the county, meeting strict time deadlines. You need a full UK driving license and use of a vehicle. Public transport is not suitable for this role due to reliability issues. Please confirm in your application that you meet these criteria.
We seek a self-motivated individual capable of working within the Community Rehabilitation team to provide high-quality care, support mobility, appropriate exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and provision of equipment to facilitate independence and reduce risks, including falls prevention interventions where indicated.
You will be supported by a registered professional to carry out assessments, treatments, and risk identification while working in the community.
