We are representing a leading aerospace manufacturer in their search for a Quality Inspector to join their team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring all products meet the highest standards of compliance, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting products against customer specifications, technical drawings, and agreed requirements, while supporting quality assurance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
General & Task Management
Approve products in line with drawings and customer supporting documentation.
Provide advice and support to internal teams on product conformance.
Work independently or as part of a team to ensure effective use of inspection resources.
Record non-conforming products accurately to support Quality Assurance Engineers.
Conduct internal departmental audits.
Apply knowledge of the FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) process to AS9102 standards.
Self-Management
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
Contribute positively to a collaborative and professional team environment.

First pass yield / parts inspected.
Adherence to AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.
Delivery against agreed departmental KPIs.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential:
Proficiency in using measuring tools such as rulers, callipers, gauges, and micrometers.
Strong ability to interpret technical engineering drawings.
Previous experience with FAI processes and AS9102 requirements.
Background in reviewing customer drawings and documentation for manufacturing and assembly accuracy.
Experience conducting internal audits and maintaining regulatory documentation.
Solid understanding of quality procedures within a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in a quality control role, ideally in aerospace or similar precision-led industries.
Proven ability to lead or support team activity.
Desirable:
Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing quality systems.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
