AM Global are looking to recruit an experienced Site Operations Manager for our recycling and processing client based in Hartlepool.
This is a day shift role, with flexibility needed for on call duties.
Applicants must have experience within the recycling and waste management industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the facility including transport and maintenance, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operational staff to maximise productivity and efficiency.
Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement in operational performance.
Implement long-term operational strategies, enhance efficiency, profitability, and sustainability.
Assist the maintenance team by undertaking PPM schedules
Working closely with Area Director and Health and Safety Manager to ensure a smooth and safe running of the facility
Responsible for staff health and safety procedures
Skills required:
Previous management experience in recycling and waste management
Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams.
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Waste Management Qualifications desirable
IOSH or NEBOSH certification is essential
