A unique opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the team in the role of Service Engineer.
Employed on a full-time basis and reporting to the Site Manager, the successful candidate will undertake the service, maintenance, and repair of company products.
This will require the Service Engineer to liaise directly with both internal and external customers, undertake site visits, and ensure service delivery is to a high standard. Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company procedures, particularly in areas such as documentation, health, and safety.
The Service Engineer will travel to various locations to perform duties, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance work as well as the completion of accurate and up to date reports relating to client and customer requirements concerning quality and service delivery.
Key tasks and accountabilities associated with the role are as follows:
Work collaboratively with different teams and departments to achieve high quality and cost-effective service delivery.
Use skills, knowledge, and experience to improve standards whilst promoting efficiencies and effective service improvements.
Service, repair, and maintain products in the defined area of responsibility as per the defined service documentation and the quality system framework.
Report all relevant service activity, ensuring updated and accurate service data in the service system.
Full responsibility for maintaining and documenting accurate service and maintenance records.
This list is not exhaustive and the postholder will be expected to undertake other duties for which they are qualified and experienced to undertake.
Applicants should possess previous experience in repair and maintenance in a similar environment, possess a qualification in an engineering field, for example medical technology, electronic, mechanical as well as working in a methodical manner and demonstrating good attention to detail.
It is important applicants are organised and able to prioritise own workload, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be IT proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel).
It is essential applicants possess excellent customer facing skills, a UK Driving Licence as there will be considerable travel in the UK required as well as the ability to work and stay away from home overnight.
Please note the role will require a degree of physical capability as duties will include manual handling, lifting, and working in challenging environments. A DBS background heck will also be required.
