Financial Accountant
Due to continued business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Bodmin. This is a key role within the business, supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting, and working closely with both finance colleagues and wider operational teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Hours of work: 09:00 – 17:00
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Location: This is a fully onsite role based at our Bodmin site
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
* Lead the annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes
* Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, margin analysis, and operational decision‑making
* Support timely management reporting and month‑end close activities
Costing & Operational Finance
* Maintain and update standard costs, labour, and overhead absorption rates
* Analyse production variances (yield, labour, materials, waste) and work closely with operational teams to improve cost performance
* Support NPD and Sales teams with product costings, pricing decisions, and margin modelling
Controls, Compliance & Improvement
* Provide oversight and support across purchase ledger activities, ensuring compliance with financial policies and audit requirements
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
* Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, and Company policies
Team Support
* Working within a small, friendly and hardworking team
* Support the development of colleagues where appropriate
* Undertake additional projects or activities as required to support business needs
Essential Requirements
* Fully qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA (this qualification is an essential requirement of the role)
* Post‑qualification experience within a manufacturing environment (food/FMCG preferred)
* Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and operational finance
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience using Power BI
* Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
