Legal Cashier – Client Accounts
Location: Nottingham (occasional days in Leicester office)
Working Pattern: Full-time | Hybrid working available (2 days from home following initial period in office)
Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE
An established and growing law firm is seeking a Legal Cashier to join its Client Accounts Team, based primarily in Nottingham.
Due to continued growth, the accounts function has recently been restructured into two specialist teams: a Business Accounts team and a Client Accounts team. This opportunity sits within the Client Accounts team, focusing on client account transactions and related processes.
The Role
This is a hands-on, process-driven position suited to someone who is detail-oriented and comfortable with high-volume work. The role will involve:
Processing client account transactions
Data entry and data inputting
Managing client receipts and payments
Ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
Reconciling client balances
Working across multiple systems following previous firm mergers
Systems Used
Actionstep (case management system)
Xero (business accounts)
Additional systems linked to previous mergers
The firm operates a fully paperless office. Experience with these systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
Have previous legal cashier or accounts experience (client account experience preferred)
Ideally hold an IFA qualification (not essential)
Be comfortable with repetitive, process-led work
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
Be able to work independently and manage pressure effectively
Be organised and methodical in approach
This role requires someone confident working with minimal supervision within a structured team environment.

Occasional working days in the Leicester office (team rota basis)
Hybrid working available (up to 2 days from home following initial training period)
