Overview
You will lead a team of Production Operatives and operational activities defined to your area, some of which include overall safe operation of plant and equipment, safety, quality, waste and OEE targets and people management. You'll ensure that process control checks and records are completed to company standards and escalation and management of quality incidents through a non-conformance process, guaranteeing all affected products or material is contained/controlled.
Responsibilities
* Previous experience operating in a manufacturing site with responsibility for a team of 10 or more colleagues
* Excellent people management skills - employee relations, absence management etc.
* Experience of maximising the potential of others including development and performance management
* Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word etc)
* Knowledge & understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
* Experience in implementing continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques eg DMAIC, would be an advantage
* OSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate and other relevant qualifications eg ILM, Lean Six Sigma desirable
Working hours and benefits
* Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm and Week 2 - Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm). This is a management position and some flexibility and occasional weekend working may be required depending upon business needs. We offer a competitive salary, professional development and benefits.
