Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and menu specifications.
* Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create innovative dishes that reflect seasonal ingredients.
* Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
* Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe kitchen.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
* Creative flair for developing new dishes and presenting food attractively.
