Sheffield Town Hall, one of the city’s five Grade I listed buildings, is undergoing a major restoration programme to secure its long‑term future. The Town Hall will be reimagined as a public space ‘Town Hall for All’, featuring heritage displays, improved access, and civic community and event spaces.
Role Overview
This position is a communications professional who will support the restoration project by advising senior officers and elected members, engaging with communities, and delivering high‑quality communications to a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide guidance on communications strategy and messaging to senior and elected officials.
* Collaborate with the wider communications team, executive directors and senior managers on campaigns and outreach.
* Develop and produce content, including video and social media, to promote the project and the Town Hall’s future use.
* Maintain high standards of communication under pressure and to diversified audiences.
Role Requirements

* Strong judgement and communication skills, with experience in media and stakeholder engagement.
