About The Role
Dismantling and reassembling accident-damaged vehicles in line with manufacturers' specifications and to the high standards expected by our customers.
Key responsibilities
* Carry out work detailed in estimate, removing damaged components from the vehicle in preparation for repair/paint work.
* Refit components to restore the vehicle to pre-accident condition.
* Deliver the highest standard of quality.
* Achieve manufacturers' and/or estimated repair times.
* Report all faults and defects noticed during work.
* Accurately document components, materials, and consumables used.
* Protect customer vehicles with covers and dust sheets.
* Safeguard the vehicle and contents during repair.
* Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
* Meet company repair/refit times.
* Record hours, components, materials, and consumables used.
* Keep wastage of materials within targets set by management.
* Prevent damage or loss of customer vehicles or contents during repair.
* Ensure safe and reliable use and maintenance of equipment, providing adequate training to operatives.
Skills And Experience
* ATA / NVQ level 3 in MET
* Good communication skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
* Good H&S knowledge and awareness.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Relevant industry experience as a repair technician.
