Overview
Working as part of a team, the post holder will support the provision of a comprehensive administrative service for the Estates and Facilities Directorate’s Car Parking Department, on behalf of the wider NUH, and in pursuit of effective operational and business objectives.
The office provides the day-to-day management and running of the Trust’s car parking infrastructure & management and staff car parking permit systems. The post holder will operate these computerised systems, and will provide direct support to the Car Parking Management Team in support of the Directorate’s and Trust’s needs.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for staff, visitors and service users on routine car parking matters, including staff car parking permits and parking enforcement administration, and escalate issues when necessary (e.g., line management, PALS).
* Monitor service equipment, its performance, and assist external contractors with infrastructure and equipment repairs and/or remedial works.
* Be an active part of the team that manages the NUH’s car parking assets and report issues where operational and/or business objectives may be at risk of failing to meet targets.
* Support the Car Parking Administration Co‑Ordinators with liaising with NUH Finance stakeholder teams to ensure staff car parking permits are paid in a reasonable time, and provide supporting information to stakeholders as necessary.
* Escalate concerns as appropriate to the Security Management Team and Department / Divisional Authorised Persons.
* Act as the primary contact for NUH Departments for the management and provision of discounted and free parking for service users and visitors who meet the criteria outlined in NUH policies.
* Attend meetings (some off-site), arrange dates and venues, take and transcribe minutes, and distribute agendas and papers.
* Provide cover as necessary for other administrative staff within the Department.
* Answer the telephone in a polite and courteous manner, deal with enquiries and take messages as appropriate, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Requirements / Qualifications
* The post holder should have a good general standard of education, and a customer-focused attitude.
* The post holder must be able to work across two NUH sites (City and QMC) and at any time when instructed.
