Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Remedy are seeking a passionate and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a team at a school in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the teacher and senior leaders to support the learning and development of students.
Responsibilities of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
* Delivering pre-planned lessons to groups of students or individuals as directed by the class teacher.
* Supporting the teacher with planning and preparation of lessons and learning materials
* Assessing student progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
* Managing behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
* Providing one-to-one support to students with additional needs, including those with SEND
* Undertaking administrative duties as required
Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent
* Experience working in a school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1 and 2
* Knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
* Ability to lead and deliver pre-planned lessons to groups of students or individuals
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage own workload
* Experience working with children with additional needs, including those with SEND
