Overview
As a Care Assistant at Avocet Court Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of care is provided to our residents. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will provide high quality care and pay attention to individual needs.

Situated in a residential nook in Ipswich, our 115-bedroom Avocet Court Care Home is surrounded by beautiful gardens. We’re proud to have an award-winning activities team and a newly refurbished café that is the heart of our home. The Role
Reporting to the Team Leader, the Care Assistant will provide high quality care to residents at all times, ensuring that care plans are appropriate to each resident’s needs. You will participate in meaningful activities when possible.
Development and Training
One of our values is Celebrating Every Individual. We have Learning and Development options to support progression. Development from this role can take you onto CHAPS or nursing positions, with fully funded apprenticeships to help you achieve an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care. Other options are available to support your career journey.
Salary
£12.21 per hour.
Shift Pattern
0-hours per week, 12-hour shifts worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
Location
Monmouth Close, Ipswich, England, IP2 8RS.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Deliver care in the home, with ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents’ care.
* Assist residents during meal times ensuring they receive suitable meals.
* Assist with and participate in all activities provided within the home to promote person-centred care.
* Attend and complete all training and qualifications (statutory, mandatory and developmental).
Training, Skills & Experience
* A genuine caring approach focused on residents\' needs.
* Experience in a care position and NVQ/QCF Level 2 Diplomas in Health & Social Care is desirable; we can support you to achieve required qualifications.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
