About the role:
Horsham District Council is seeking a Development and Building Control Deputy Team Leader to support and deputise for the Team Leader in these service areas.
The Deputy Team Leader will manage complaints, serve as the main contact for Councillor and Parish Council engagement, and assist in responding to Freedom of Information requests.
Responsibilities include assisting and deputising for the Team Leader of the Development and Building Control Support Team and overseeing the validation of building control and planning applications. Managing workflows across these service areas is also part of the role.
About you:
Successful candidates will have significant experience in administrative and process management, preferably within a Local Authority setting, along with management and supervisory experience. A customer-focused approach, strong commercial acumen, and experience in business development are essential. Good organisational and management skills, along with problem-solving abilities, are also required.
