Robert Half are pleased to be partnering exclusively with an organisation in the performing arts industry based in central Oxford to recruit a Finance Assistant. The Finance Assistant will receive a salary of up to £30,000 along with other attractive benefits including hybrid remote working.
This is a full time role, however the organisation is open to the role being part time (0.8).
Primary responsibilities;
1. Collating, coding, and obtaining signatures from budget holders for all invoices
2. Entering invoices and payments on the ledger, including staff expenses
3. Following up open POs and locating missing purchase invoices
4. Placing online orders for colleagues and obtaining relevant documentation
5. Managing processes relating to corporate gift cards
6. Raising sales invoices for the charity and the trading company
7. Performing all data entry pertaining to the till and box office software
8. Actively managing credit control for the charity and the trading company to maximise cash inflow and pre-empt bad debts
9. Processing BACS, cash and credit card receipts
10. Investigating discrepancies between the bank and the till and box office
11. Performing regular reconciliations of customer accounts
12. Weekly bank account reconciliation
13. Entering journals and cross charges
14. Undertaking other duties related to the finance department including filing and archiving
Key experience and attributes;
15. 2-3 years experience in a finance position
16. Purchase and Sales ledger experience
17. Excellent attention to detail
18. A team player, happy to roll sleeves up and get stuck in
19. A proactive individual
