About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading OEM seeking skilled Agricultural Service Engineers to support continued growth within their service division.
This is a field-based, customer-facing role focused on diagnosing, servicing and repairing agricultural and heavy machinery to the highest possible standard.
The successful Agricultural Service Engineer will take ownership of their territory, delivering high-quality repairs, building strong customer relationships and ensuring maximum machine uptime.
This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working independently, solving complex mechanical and hydraulic faults, and earning enhanced overtime through strong performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Agricultural Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing and repairing agricultural and plant machinery
Carrying out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding
Delivering a strong “First Time Fix” rate
Completing accurate job reports using laptop/PDA systems
Supporting customers across your designated territory
Promoting service and aftermarket support where appropriate
Working safely and professionally at all times
Participating in a call-out rota (rota details discussed at interview)
What We’re Looking For
NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Land-Based Engineering / Plant Engineering / Service & Maintenance
Proven experience working on agricultural, heavy plant, or similar machinery
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems (open & closed loop), transmissions and electrical systems
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Excellent customer-facing communication skills
