The Imaging Division of STMicroelectronics is a global organization present in Europe, the USA, and Asia. It specializes in the development and industrialization of opto-electronic products such as CMOS image sensors for mobile, automotive, or medical telephony applications, proximity detectors, 3D sensors, and gesture recognition for international customers.
Profile
We are seeking a Team Manager to join our Validation department in Edinburgh. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team working on cutting-edge image sensor projects across various markets and applications.
The team currently comprises 10 members, and your main responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring product qualification, performance, and maturity from silicon development to mass production.
2. Defining and executing the Validation strategy, contributing to program definitions and roadmaps, including system use case development.
3. Supporting validation as the key interface with ST's customers for ASICs.
4. Innovating and providing differentiated solutions for our customers.
5. Collaborating with validation sites worldwide.
6. Ensuring the team's effectiveness and completeness of validation plans, along with timely execution of activities.
7. Fostering skill development within the team.
8. Enhancing validation team efficiency, reinforcing existing skills, and developing new competencies in critical technical areas.
9. Recruiting and nurturing talent to strengthen the organization, improve cross-team collaboration, and align with long-term goals.
10. Retaining top talent by addressing employee engagement and satisfaction.
11. Setting a vision and aligning the validation roadmap accordingly.
12. Developing a shared vision with stakeholders.
13. Managing vendor relationships and ensuring the adoption of appropriate tools and technologies.
You will work closely with validation teams, the division's development teams (Design, Verification, Firmware, Application, Electrical and Optical characterization, industrial testing, software development), and key customers.
You will participate in project meetings to share information, actions, and priorities. Your technical skills, alongside team management, may also be utilized in customer support and integration.
