Senior Procurement Specialist
Peterborough | £55,000–£60,000 | Hybrid (2–3 days in office)
Permanent | 37 hours per week
I’m recruiting for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join a major infrastructure organisation delivering large-scale, high-value projects across the region. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone from a gas, oil, construction or utilities background who’s confident managing complex procurement activity and wants to make a real impact.
What you’ll be doing
1. Leading end-to-end procurement on major infrastructure projects
2. Managing sourcing pipelines, tender processes and high-value contract negotiations
3. Working with NEC contract terms across multiple workstreams
4. Building strong supplier partnerships and driving commercial value
5. Ensuring full compliance across public procurement regulations
6. Influencing internal stakeholders to support project delivery
What we’re looking for
7. Strong background in gas, oil, construction, utilities or major infrastructure
8. 5–7 years’ experience in complex procurement
9. Confident working with NEC contracts
10. Good understanding of public procurement rules
11. CIPS Level 5 / RICS or similar (desirable)
12. Commercial mindset, strong negotiator, and comfortable managing multiple projects
