Introduction to the Role

This is a full‑time substantive Intensive Care Consultant post suitable for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated individual who wants to practice the best intensive care medicine for a broad range of patients, while developing interests in education, academia or clinical management, all while living in one of the most stunning parts of the country. Our consultant team includes Intensivists who provide clinical sessions in other specialties such as Anaesthesia, Acute Medicine and Respiratory Medicine, and individuals with significant academic roles at the University of Plymouth or who support the regional critical care transfer service (Retrieve).

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming department. We regularly meet outside of work for social events and maintain a supportive and collegiate approach towards each other and the wider department.
