We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity, quality and authenticity of our products so that our customers can buy with us with confidence.
The Technical Manager will promote a strong food safety and quality culture, maintaining our BRCGS AA grade and ensure compliance with our customers code of practice.
The Technical Manager will work closely with the Technical & Operations Director to drive continuous improvement by leading and developing the Technical and Quality teams, offering specialised insights and providing essential guidance on all technical and quality matters.
It is essential you have proven experience working in a Senior Technical role within a food manufacturing environment, with a hands-on, flexible and proactive approach.

The Olidor Group also includes Brusco Food Group, an industry expert in ingredients supply, Karimix, a specialist worldwide inspired sauce producer, and The Original Baker, a producer of premium artisan baked goods.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist expertise and guidance to support the food safety culture in the Technical team at Four Anjels and wider business
* Propose the Company’s stance on emerging trends and develop necessary policies
* Lead the HACCP team and Quality Review meetings
* Maintain the QMS ensuring compliance with the latest BRGCS standard and HACCP plans and provide training to the Production team
* Lead internal audits, identifying non-conformances, and collaborate on actionable solutions
* Manage annual product traceability, withdrawal, and recall testing
* Ensure all products comply with customer specifications
* Regularly evaluate supplier performance through annual reviews, on-site visits, and external audits
* Ensure timely delivery of product specifications and data sheets to customers
* Address customer complaints efficiently and ensure Certificates of Authenticity and Compliance are provided within the agreed timeframes
* Oversee quality control, audits and non-conformance actions to drive continuous improvement in technical and quality systems
* Collaborate with the NPD team on product innovation
* Review and enhance department procedures to improve efficiency
* Lead, engage, and nurture the Technical and Quality team, establishing roles and responsibilities
* Support team resource needs, recruiting and onboarding Technical and Quality team members
Jobholder’s Competencies, Skills and Experience
* Proven experience working in a senior Technical role within food manufacturing industry is essential
* Demonstrable Technical expertise supported by a relevant qualification such as a degree in food science or food safety qualification
* Experience of leading third party/customer audits
* Expert in implementing and monitoring food safety and quality policies
* Proficient in leading HACCP teams
* Skilled in driving continuous technical improvement and managing quality assurance teams
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop teams
* Strong customer focus with a commitment to customer satisfaction
* IT literate including Outlook, Excel and Word
* High standards of numeracy and literacy
* High levels of organisation, attention to details and collaboration skills
* Ability to work at pace and manage multiple deadlines

Salary: Between £40k - £45k per annum (depending on experience and skills)
Hours / Days: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm, flexibility will be required at times due to the nature of the role
Location: Fully onsite, based at Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham
