Hale Country Club & Spa is seeking a dedicated hospitality professional with leadership skills and a passion for beverages. As a Bar Manager, you will oversee bar operations, ensuring outstanding service for our guests.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure smooth running of the Beverage department, delivering high service standards
2. Support the Food and Beverage Manager in aligning team members with company requirements
3. Drive financial targets for covers, spend per head, labour, cost of sale, purchasing, and operating profit
4. Be visible and approachable at all times
5. Coach and mentor team members, assist with training and new starter inductions
6. Attend operations meetings
7. Possess extensive knowledge of wine and cocktail offerings
8. Maintain and exceed service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction
9. Work effectively in a high-pressure environment, displaying resilience
10. Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and complaints
11. Understand seasonal menu and beverage offerings, recommending and answering questions

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
The successful applicant will have/be:
23. Previous experience in a similar role within a 5* luxury hotel or high-end bar
24. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
25. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
26. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and handle complaints with discretion and sensitivity
27. Ability to maintain professional standards under pressure
28. Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar management software
29. Excellent administration and organizational skills
30. Proactive, Process-led and organized with a focus on quality
31. Enthusiastic and positive, promoting a welcoming atmosphere
32. Demonstrated enthusiasm for the King Street Townhouse brand
33. Degree Level 2:1 or equivalent work experience
34. WSET Level 2 or strong knowledge and interest in wine
35. Food Safety Level certification
