Year 4 Class Teacher - Primary

Salary: £162.30 - £251.71 per day

A large primary school in Swindon is recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Qualified Teacher. The role begins in September 2025, but there is flexibility on the start date for the right candidate. The school will consider both ECT & final year students. Experience within Key Stage 2 would be advantageous but is not essential. The school was graded as 'Good' in its last Ofsted inspection in June 2022. They aim to create a friendly, supportive working environment that fosters a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Hold QTS or QTLS
* Have the ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils
* Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
* Desire to work with, inspire, and support children from all needs and backgrounds
* Have excellent behaviour management skills
* Understand the Teachers' Standards
Main Responsibilities
* Teach a variety of subjects to primary pupils
* Plan lessons and activities for whole class and group learning
* Support SEND children with their work in a classroom setting
* Manage difficult behaviours and implement the school's behaviour policy
* Safeguard vulnerable pupils
* Potentially supervise during lunch and break times
* Support and manage teaching assistants within the classroom
* Build relationships with staff and pupils
* Collect evidence of pupils' work to support assessments
* Provide feedback on pupils' progress to relevant staff
* Take pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
* Potentially lead in a subject area
* Ensure a team approach to education involving parents and carers
