SC Clearable Service Designer
Remote (UK-based) with fortnightly travel to London/Manchester/Newcastle
9-Month Contract
£420/day (Inside IR35)
We're looking for an experienced Service Designer to join a high-profile public sector programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape user-centred services that deliver real impact at scale.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver user-centred design activities across complex services
* Plan and execute user research (interviews, surveys, focus groups, usability testing)
* Apply service design frameworks and methodologies to improve end-to-end service experiences
* Create and maintain user personas, empathy maps, and journey maps
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate research insights into actionable design improvements
* Contribute to service transformation initiatives within a public sector environment
Key Requirements
* Active SC Clearance (desirable) OR eligible to obtain (mandatory 5 years UK residency)
* UK Citizen and based in the UK
* Strong experience with user research methodologies and practical application
* Proven track record in service design frameworks and delivery
* Experience creating user personas, journey maps, and service blueprints
* Prior public sector experience is essential
Additional Details
* Remote working within the UK
* Travel required every fortnight to London, Manchester, or Newcastle
* Travel expenses covered for trips to offices other than your base location
