We are currently recruiting General Assistant to join our London Gatwick catering team operation. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role working within a secure, aviation-regulated environment. Role Overview As a General Assistant, you will be required to work across multiple departments including: Dishwash Production Pick & Pack You will support daily operations to ensure airline catering standards are met and production schedules are maintained. Pay Rate: £12.81/hr. Shift Pattern 4 on / 2 off rolling roster 8.5-hour shifts Early shift: 06:00 start Late shift: 10:00-11:00 start Night shifts available (role dependent) Benefits Free meals on shift On-site parking Key Responsibilities Rotate stock to maximise shelf life Record and report food wastage Record and report breakages (china, glass, equipment) Ensure production schedules are met Department Duties Dishwash Dispose of waste using correct equipment Load catering equipment as per training Ensure wash machines are running at correct temperatures Check equipment for cleanliness and damage Production Ensure all airline products meet required specifications Supply products to relevant departments in an organised manner Pack production trolleys and carts according to passenger volumes Pick & Pack Check all products prior to packing Pack carts to required standards based on passenger numbers Carry out final search and screening checks Skills & Experience Minimum 1 year catering experience (desirable) Good communication and teamwork skills Strong attention to detail Good literacy skills (written and spoken English)
