Job Description
3. Financial Management: Oversee the school's financial operations, ensuring effective budgeting and resource allocation.
4. Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the school.
5. Human Resources: Manage HR functions including staff records, recruitment processes, and personnel support.
6. Compliance: Maintain adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
7. Administration: Lead and manage administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
8. Operational Support: Provide strategic and practical support to enable the school to function efficiently.
9. Leadership Support: Allow the senior leadership team to focus on teaching and learning by managing operational tasks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business/Office Manager should have:
10. Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting and reporting
11. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within an educational or public sector setting
12. Knowledge and experience in human resources processes and compliance
13. Ability to manage administrative operations efficiently
14. Excellent organisational and leadership skills
15. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
16. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and relevant administrative software
17. Ability to work collaboratively with the Headteacher and leadership team
18. Experience in compliance and regulatory frameworks
19. A proactive and solution-focused approach to operational challenges
20. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritise effectively
21. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Previous experience in a similar role within a school environment would be preferred.

22. A salary range of £38,221 - £40,778 per annum, depending on experience.
