Join Utilita Energy as a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer and play a key role in installing smart meters in domestic properties. You will work on the front line, delivering a customer‑first experience while supporting the rollout of the UK’s smart metering revolution.
Salary & Earnings
We offer a competitive £38,993 base salary plus an additional £330 per week for on‑call work (average 1 in 5 weeks) – a potential OTE of £42,293 per annum. You can earn extra through our industry‑leading meter installation bonus of £25 per meter or £50 for a dual meter when you install a minimum of four meters in a single day. Overtime, especially on Sundays, is enhanced, giving you the opportunity for unlimited earnings.
Responsibilities
As a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer you will:
* Install smart meters in residential properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Provide expert technical support to customers, troubleshooting and resolving issues onsite.
* Maintain high standards of customer experience and adhere to Utilita’s quality and safety procedures.
* Collaborate with field services teams and contribute to continuous improvement of the installation process.
Qualifications
* Valid smart metering qualifications – CCN1, CMA1 and MET1 (or equivalent).
* Minimum 12 months of experience as a Smart Meter Engineer.
* UK driving licence with over‑no‑deprivation status.
