We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and passionate Group Manager or General Manager in Canterbury.
This is an exciting opportunity to oversee three newly refurbished bars/restaurants, including a lively student bar that delivers a buzzing atmosphere through themed nights, great food, and a vibrant evening scene.
We're looking for a food-focused professional with a strong understanding of current food trends, wines, local beers, and cocktails. You'll be a natural people person with the leadership skills to motivate, develop, and inspire an already fantastic team to deliver consistently high standards.

About the Role As Group Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple food and beverage outlets, ensuring quality, consistency, and commercial success. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will deliver a first-class catering and hospitality experience for students, staff, and visitors.
This is a role for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, delivering operational excellence while fostering an engaging and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities Manage all outlets to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality food and beverage services.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Plan and resource operations effectively to achieve smooth service delivery across all areas.
Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Deliver on agreed financial budgets, driving both revenue and efficiency to meet commercial targets.
About You We're seeking a confident and inspiring leader who brings passion, creativity, and commercial focus to the role.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in contract catering or managing multiple outlets within a hospitality setting.
Strong food and beverage knowledge, with awareness of emerging trends and quality standards.
Proven leadership ability, with experience in motivating and developing teams to achieve results.
A track record of growing sales, retaining business, and improving service performance.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels.
Strong financial and commercial awareness.
Proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Office.
