Overview

Stafford Lawrence is engaged to search for a Chartered Senior Associate Director of Building Surveying for a multidisciplinary client with offices in Exeter, Devon. They are seeking a future leader for this role, with potential progression to Partner. The goal is to future-proof the organisation by reshaping and growing the Building Surveying offering, including development of new business in the area and expansion of the Luxury Residential Market. This is a senior leadership role with a strong salary band for the region.

Senior Associate Director Building Surveying

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £65,000-80,000 per annum, plus additional benefits (see below)


Responsibilities

* Develop and lead the Building Surveying offering in the South West, including Commercial and Residential Building Surveying.
* Grow and mentor the Building Surveying team across the area and in other offices, coordinating with the South West regional Partner for Building Surveying.
* Drive business development opportunities, build new client relationships, and pursue growth in the Luxury Residential Market.
* Lead and manage stakeholders, work both independently and as part of a team, and provide leadership within the department.
* Travel to client locations as required; a full clean UK driving licence is a requirement.


Requirements

* Chartered MRICS Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Building Surveyor (MRICS required).
* BSc in Building Surveying or other RICS-accredited construction-related degree qualifications.
* Experience in both Commercial and Residential Building Surveying.
* Proven leadership experience with the ability to drive team growth, mentor colleagues, and engage in business development.
* Ability to report to the South West regional Partner for Building Surveying; capable of working independently and as part of a team.
* Full clean UK driving licence; travel to client locations as required.
* Willingness to relocate to the Devon area is considered.
* Right to live and work in the UK (UK candidates or those with current right to work in the UK only).


Salary & Benefits

* Full-time permanent position with a key leadership role.
* Salary of £65,000-£80,000 per annum.
* One paid Professional Fee.
* 25 days holiday per year.
* Pension provision.
* Travel expenses and use of a company car.
* Training and career development funded by the company.
* Relocation allowance if not currently located in the Devon area.
