Key Accountabilities
* Executing requirements management processes.
* Managing configuration and general change management of technical artifacts and documentation within role remit.
* Reporting progress on requirements management activities.
* Other discharged responsibilities of the Chief Systems Engineer.
Responsibilities
* Executing processes detailed within the Costain Internal H7 SEMP and in accordance with the Costain Way.
* Act as lead (and carry out where required) requirements management activities for allocated projects including:
o Elicitation
o Requirements writing
o Change and configuration management (baselining and requirements technical change)
o Decomposition, derivation, traceability
* Own the requirements management environment for allocated projects and ensure that all requirements (and related artefacts) are captured within the environment and kept up to date. Access may be required by non-systems engineers once it has been set up, you will also need to ensure these users have appropriate access and provide informal training.
* Lead (and carry out where required) the verification and validation of requirements for allocated projects through liaising and getting support from Costain and subcontractor leads and SMEs.
* Own the HAL benefits & requirements trackers (where instructed) and VVCRMs for allocated projects.
* Lead and support the definition of the system architecture for the whole CTA Cofferdam and other allocated projects on AMCP.
* Providing continuous improvement feedback on requirements management processes where required.

Qualifications
Essential
Education & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field such as systems engineering, mechanical engineering, or mathematics
* INCOSE CEP accreditation (ASEP as a minimum) or demonstration of working towards
Experience:
* Working as a systems engineer on large and complex infrastructure programmes
* Well versed in leading and executing core systems engineering sub-disciplines including requirements management, configuration control, verification & validation, requirements writing, and requirements change management
Desirable
* Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or demonstration of working towards professional recognition
* Experience in railway infrastructure projects
* Experience in aviation infrastructure projects
* Familiarity with Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) project processes and procedures
* Experience with DOORS Next requirements management software
* Experience with Capella MBSE software
* INCOSE CEP accreditation (CSEP)
* Writing and maintaining project specific systems engineering related management plans
