Job Description:
Overview
Key duties (including, but not limited to):
* Identifying and developing consultancy opportunities with new and existing clients
* Building a strong network of contacts in the non-life sector, developing and maintaining good relationships with nominated clients
* Providing high-quality support to insurance and reinsurance clients both in the UK and globally, either on a consulting basis or via secondment to the client, delivering projects on time and within budget
* Collaborating across the business, particularly with investment specialists, to deliver on cross-practice projects
* Helping to promote insurance offerings to a wider audience, including conference speaking and writing articles
* Developing and shaping new investment propositions for clients and prospects
Qualifications required:
* Likely qualified UK actuaries with relevant post-qualification experience, depending on experience
Experience required:
* Strategic business acumen and knowledge of risks facing the insurance industry, gained in an ‘in-house’ or consultancy role
* Good knowledge of Solvency II requirements and familiarity with PRA and FCA handbooks
* Understanding of risk management frameworks used by insurance companies
* Strong actuarial techniques knowledge and IT skills
