Location: Nuffield Health Oxford Hospital – The Manor, Oxford
Contract: Full Time, Permanent – 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview
Deputy Ward Manager supports the Clinical Head of Department, leading a team to deliver high quality patient care, ensuring smooth operations and a positive work culture.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the efficient running of the ward and deputise for the Clinical Head of Department as required.
* Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all members of the MDT, consultants and patients.
* Co‑ordinate ward activity and be responsible for patient care and safety.
* Promote a seamless, personalised patient experience and champion patient safety.
* Apply knowledge and skills in assessment, care planning and delivery.
* Encourage a supportive, enabling working culture on the ward, promoting staff safety and education.
Qualifications
Registered with the appropriate governing body and hold relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC registration, with strong clinical leadership experience.
