We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Environmental Assistant to join our team and ensure our projects meet or exceed environmental regulations and standards.
The Environmental Assistant will play a vital role in integrating environmental considerations into all aspects of Enable Infrastructure operations. You will be required to support the Environmental & Sustainability Manager with the implementation of Enable’s ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and Carbon Reduction Plan.

This role would suit a graduate with 6-12 months experience in a graduate or Assistant Environmental role in a construction environment.
Responsibilities:
* Be aware of environmental legislation and work as part of the team to ensure compliance
* Assist with reporting environmental incidents and instigate any corrective actions required.
* Assist with collecting, processing and interpreting environmental data to support Enables Carbon reduction plan and monthly environmental reporting.
* Undertake Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practice to the relevant teams and Environmental Manager.
* Help co-ordinate and maintain the environmental training programme
* Assist with the implementation of the project environmental plans and contract requirements on various Enable projects.
* Assist with reviewing and updating Environmental compliance documentation such as project environmental plans and Work Package Plans.
* Assist with project ecological requirements and seek to gain experience/training in the ecology field
* Assist with meeting client environmental contract requirements, project objectives and business goals.
Qualifications:
* Experience as an Environmental assistant/graduate within the construction industry is desirable.
* Degree in Environmental Science or relevant (environmental related) subject is required.
* IEMA membership will be an advantage
