Job Description :
As an Aircraft Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for the electrical and avionic maintenance of the UK MFTS (Military Flying Training System) rotary-wing H135/H145 aircraft. Working at RAF Valley, you will provide engineering support across line and base maintenance tasks, contributing directly to the availability and airworthiness of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical and avionic system maintenance as per OEM standards.
Support Flight Operations and assist in the day-to-day running of the hangar.
Conduct inspections, repairs, and off-aircraft technical work in workshops.
Use specialised test equipment for diagnostics and system testing.
Move aircraft safely within hangar or flight line environments.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company maintenance procedures.
Essential Requirements
Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline.
Proven knowledge of electrical and avionic systems.
Experience with:
Aircraft Line and Base Maintenance
Flight/Airport Operations
Proficiency in using specialised electrical/avionic test equipment.
Desirable Requirements
Experience working on H135 helicopters.
Knowledge of Client Helicopters products.
Familiarity with UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS operations.
Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
Experience in military aviation environments.
Key Performance Indicators
Maintain >98% aircraft availability at Client location (including deployments).
