We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Bookkeeper to support the financial administration of our growing multi-site entertainment business.
This role follows a clear monthly rhythm, supporting bookkeeping, payroll preparation and finance processes across several venues. It would suit someone who enjoys structured routines, meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate financial records.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring our bookkeeping and payroll processes run smoothly throughout the month, working closely with our management team to maintain accurate records and meet reporting deadlines. As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities for the role to develop and progress.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing purchase invoices and receipts using Dext
* Processing invoices into Xero and reconciling transactions
* Preparing invoices ready for payment runs
* Maintaining internal split sheets and tracking reports
* Recording and submitting site meter readings and utilities data
* Monitoring finance inboxes and organising documentation
* Supporting VAT checks and monthly bookkeeping completion
* Reviewing budget sheets and highlighting discrepancies
* Downloading till and reporting data from sites
* Supporting payroll preparation, including timesheet checks and deductions
* Processing payroll information and pension submissions
* Updating holiday records and HR systems
* Ensuring new starter information and payroll changes are accurate
* General business administration, including data collection and entry
The role follows a structured monthly cycle with key deadlines across weeks one to four, including bookkeeping completion, payroll processing and compliance submissions.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has bookkeeping or finance administration experience
* Is highly organised and deadline-driven
* Enjoys working with structured monthly routines
* Is confident using spreadsheets and finance systems
* Can manage multiple sites and streams of information
* Communicates clearly and works well independently
Experience with Xero, Dext, Sage HR or similar tools would be beneficial but not essential.
