Are you passionate about helping young learners build strong early literacy skills?
A warm and friendly primary school in Clitheroe is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils with targeted phonics sessions.
About the Role:
* Deliver small-group and 1:1 phonics intervention sessions
* Support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 with reading and early literacy
* Follow the school’s chosen phonics scheme (training provided if needed)
* Work closely with the class teacher to track pupil progress
* Create a positive, encouraging learning environment
* Support general classroom routines when required
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience supporting children in KS1 (school or tutoring experience accepted)
* Strong understanding of phonics and early reading development
* A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
* Reliability, commitment, and excellent communication skills
* Ability to build confidence in young learners
