The role
We are looking for a talented Credit Controller to join our Accounts Receivable team on a 12-month FTC. The role involves daily debt collection, cash reconciliation, query resolution, and other AR tasks. It offers a chance to showcase your credit control skills and contribute to our scaling operations.
This role is vital within the Finance team and suits an experienced, motivated individual eager to develop their finance career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You should be able to manage your time effectively, handle multiple priorities, and communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
* Chasing debt on accounts across all Motorway customers/dealers
* Producing monthly electronic PDF statements
* Liaising with dealers/customers regarding payment queries via email, phone, and escalation to managers
* Identifying at-risk customers and accounts to be frozen
* Collaborating with the finance team, dealer support, and account managers for timely resolution and collection of overdue debts
* Securing customer remittance advice for accurate cash allocation
* Allocating cash to customer invoices timely and accurately
* Reconciling complex customer accounts
* Monitoring unallocated payments and resolving discrepancies
* Managing queries from Zendesk inbox according to SLAs
* Maximizing cash collection and achieving debt KPIs
Requirements
* Proven success or experience in credit control
* Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
* Strong understanding of aged debt reports
* Flexible, adaptable, and proactive
* Ability to interpret data from various sources quickly and accurately
* Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
* Motivated to advocate for effective credit control processes
* Proficient in Google Sheets or MS Excel
