An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highway Coordinator to come and join a busy client in the Manchester area. The main duties of the experienced Highway Coordinator are: Support the Planned Maintenance Team within Highways to deliver carriageway resurfacing and treatments. Facilitate and manage permits for planned maintenance works (training provided; prior experience desirable). Provide timely, clear, and technically accurate responses to the planned maintenance inbox, liaising with contractors and communicating effectively with residents. Deliver high-quality, customer-focused technical services in line with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements. Support and manage technical projects, initiatives, or work packages to meet legislative and corporate objectives. Apply technical knowledge to design and implement effective, customer-focused solutions. Assess feasibility of projects/work packages and ensure compliance with procedures, legislation, and high-quality standards. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and negotiation. Identify issues in assigned work, make recommendations, and drive process improvements.
