Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:

* 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or trade background
* Minimum 3 years’ plus experience in a site-based MEP role
* Strong ability to collaborate and work as part of a high-performance team

Key responsibilities:

* Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders in decision-making and execution.
* Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures, integrating safety into all discussions.
* Be fully aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out) related to these sources.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of project Mechanical systems and monitor system installation for compliance with specifications and schedule.
* Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing commissioning implementation plans (CIPs).
* Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to verify conformity with requirements.
* Coordinate that rooms or areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for advanced beneficial use, aligned with the construction schedule.
* Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress in line with the master schedule.
* Ensure contractors and vendors are adequately resourced to complete electrical activities efficiently.
* Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities for sequencing to optimize program delivery.
* Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders as needed.
* Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required.
* Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
* Review and ensure that system mechanical stakeholders produce:
o Construction and commissioning programs aligned with the master schedule
o Works execution documents and trackers
o Risk assessments and method statements
o Progress reports aligned with their scope and program
o Relevant field and vendor handover packs
