We are currently seeking an interim Product Testing Technician to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based at our client's scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, easily accessible by train and car. This is a part-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £26,354 per annum, pro rata (full-time equivalent), depending upon experience.
Within this role, you will work to support Fabric Enhancers projects, specifically supporting the Product Performance Testing team. The Home Care category relies on the functionality of its products to delight consumers. Exciting and powerful claims and creative benefit demonstrations are a key part of getting consumers to choose any specific brand. Product Performance Testing plays a key role in shaping, defining, and supporting all claims for all our global brands.
Key Responsibilities
* Pre-washing of various fabrics for performance and sensory testing.
* Washing of fabrics for performance and sensory testing.
* Organisation of sensory swatches for testing.
* Planning and organising fabric stocks to meet testing requirements.
* Attending appropriate team meetings.
Key Skills Required
* Ability to work within multi-functional teams.
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
* Good organisation and planning skills.
* Experience in preparation of sensory testing is preferable, but not essential.
