We're looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical & Electrical Contracts Manager to join our newly formed Compliance service within the Housing, Neighbourhood and Building Services Directorate.\n\nThis is a key role responsible for managing large-scale Term Service Contracts related to gas servicing, mechanical and electrical repairs, and compliance for both housing and corporate assets.\n\nJob Title: Mechanical & Electrical Contracts Manager - Building Services\nLocation: Portsmouth (with travel to sites in Portsmouth, Havant, Gosport and Fareham)\nContract: Full time, 37 hours per week, 6 months\nSalary: £30 per hour PAYE\nHours: 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours per week\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n\nManaging gas servicing and repairs across 17,000+ homes\nOverseeing M&E servicing and compliance for commercial and corporate buildings\nLeading a team and managing contractors to ensure high performance and value for money\nEnsuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards\nDeveloping policies, procedures, and strategies to support service delivery\nContributing to procurement and contract management of major service contracts\nSupporting out-of-hours operations on a rota basis\nWhat we're looking for:\n\nA relevant degree and ideally Chartered (or working towards) with RICS, CIBSE, or CIOB\nStrong knowledge of M&E compliance, regulations, and industry standards\nProven experience in managing large service contracts (ideally NEC4)\nExperience of managing budgets, teams, and driving service improvement\nConfident in dealing with senior stakeholders and external partners\nA valid driving licence and access to a vehicle\nCall Albert at Carbon60 on (phone number removed) or email your CV if interested.\n\nCarbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
