About The Role
As a Care Home Manager at HC‑One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC‑One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
In this role, you will take responsibility for the well‑being of our residents, including ensuring their emotional and social needs are met. You will lead, motivate, and mentor your team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the care home. You will develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each resident, monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation, and promote our residents’ independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.
As manager you’ll make sure we have the best people on‑site, deliver a truly empathic service, champion resident wellbeing, establish a vision and development plan for the home, and carry out quality assurance monitoring to take us above and beyond regulatory standards.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced care home manager with strong leadership skills, experience with multidisciplinary teams, and conducting risk assessments. You’ll have, or be willing to obtain, a Registered Managers Award Level 4, or Leadership and Management in Care level 4/5. Above all, you will communicate with residents and co‑workers in a truly considerate and kind manner.
You are able to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if concerns arise, seek appropriate advice, and report concerns including escalation if action is not taken. You also understand safeguarding responsibilities and are devoted to keeping residents safe.
