Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced, motivated clinician to join our team. You will be a registered Occupational Therapist with expertise in goal-focused rehabilitation, supporting patients to become experts in their own care and to remain in their own homes.
It is essential that you have excellent communication skills, enjoy working with a variety of service users across different age groups, possess good self-management skills, and can prioritize your caseload. Ideally, you will have experience working in various clinical settings with knowledge of community care challenges.
You must be a car driver with access to a vehicle for work, as travel across the North East Essex area is required.

Main duties of the job
The key objectives are to provide goal-focused rehabilitation, support patients to become experts in their own care, and help them remain in their homes through holistic assessments and interventions. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will have leadership opportunities in planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating rehabilitation, including supervising junior staff and students.
You will demonstrate ability to build networks across multiple sites and teams, embrace innovation and integrated working, and commit to delivering excellent care alongside multidisciplinary colleagues.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential):
* Registered Occupational Therapist with HCPC
* Knowledge and skills through formal training, courses, and experience to degree level or equivalent
* Post-qualification training, e.g., sensory integration, postgraduate studies
* Evidence of ongoing CPD
Qualifications (Desirable):
* Membership of British Association of Occupational Therapists
* Additional relevant qualifications and courses
Experience (Essential):
* Relevant experience in the care group
Experience (Desirable):
* Competencies relevant to the specialty
* Experience managing others
Knowledge (Essential):
* Broad knowledge of assessments and therapeutic interventions relevant to the care group
Other requirements include DBS check and current UK professional registration.
