Agency Operations Manager
Blumilk · Newcastle upon Tyne · £30,000 to £40,000 · Full-time, Monday to Friday
Blumilk is a creative agency in Newcastle. We've been at it for over 25 years, working with clients across utilities, public sector, healthcare and education sectors where the work has to land properly, not just look nice.
The Agency Operations Manager is a new role for us and sits at the centre of Blumilk's day-to-day delivery operation, helping creative work move smoothly, efficiently and profitably through the business.
The role supports the Studio, Live Projects and Engagement teams by coordinating schedules, qualifying incoming work, dealing with external suppliers, managing operational systems and maintaining commercial accuracy across projects.
Above all, the role exists to protect creative focus. By taking ownership of studio coordination, workflow management and operational administration, the Agency Operations Manager allows the creative team to spend more time delivering amazing creative work and the client facing team more time to talk to clients
If you've worked in a busy agency before, you'll know the job. You'll also know the difference it makes when one person owns it properly.
What you'll be doing
• Running studio scheduling and day-to-day workflow
• Planning resource and capacity across the team
• Qualifying incoming briefs and turning them into real project plans
• Supporting the quoting and proposal process
• Managing suppliers
• Keeping our project management software tidy and the operational reporting honest
• Coordinating quality control so work goes out right first time
• Spotting where things can work better, and making them happen
You'll fit if

• You're seriously organised and a clear, calm communicator
• You've got commercial nous and a sharp eye for detail
• You stay steady when the day goes sideways
• You've used a project or workflow systems
• You're comfortable saying no when a brief isn't ready or a deadline isn't realistic
The practical stuff
This is a new role, so there's room to shape it. You'll report directly to the MD and have the backing of the senior team. You'll be measured on whether the studio runs smoothly and the margins hold. It's a hands-on operational job, not a strategy seat. Office-based in Newcastle, Monday to Friday. £30,000 to £40,000 depending on what you bring.
How to apply
