Location: Epworth House - Stoke-on-Trent
Department: Residential
Compensation: £34,000 – £39,000 per year
Hours: 173 hours per month (shift pattern: 1 day on, 2 days off, with sleep‑ins). The service operates 365 days a year.
Sleep‑ins are paid at £60.00 per sleep and there are opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate.
Responsibilities
You will support the manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home, mentor staff, and ensure that children receive high‑quality, trauma‑informed therapeutic care. The role involves managing the residential environment, coordinating educational and emotional support for the young people, and upholding best practice in child protection and wellbeing.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 12 months supervisory experience in a children's residential care home
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
* Full UK driving licence
* Full right to work in the UK (no restrictions)
* In‑depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
* Values in line with Esland’s therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare
* Age 21 years or older (due to industry regulations)
