This is a fantastic leadership (Software Project Lead) opportunity, which involves leading a team to deliver embedded software on time, on cost, and on quality!
Salary: up to circa £72,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
The HMI and Cyber team is looking for a driven and passionate Software Project Lead to provide direction and drive to several project teams. You will engage with collaborators across the business to find opportunities to utilise current product lines, propose and develop new product lines, as well as delivering customer capabilities. You will also have the opportunity to present to both the leadership team and internationally.
As a Software Project Lead, you will provide leadership to the teams and be responsible for all parts of the software lifecycle (bidding, planning, budgeting, progress reporting, stakeholder management, integration, delivery, and support).

What we're looking for from you:
We're seeking someone passionate about building a strong team culture and supporting each member to achieve their best.
* Proven ability to technically manage a team of software developers (typically 5 to 10 engineers)
* Experience and knowledge of delivering software on complex systems through all stages of the software development lifecycle.
* Experience in building and managing relationships with project stakeholders and balancing competing requirements.
* A proven record of managing a software budget and confidently controlling changes to requirements and costs against an agreed estimate/budget.
* A love of problem-solving and an open-minded, yet realistic, approach to change and improvement.
Knowledge or interest in the following topics are considered a bonus but are not required:
* C++ / C#
* Windows / Linux OS lockdown
* HMI development / design
* Automated Testing
