Position: Marketing Assistant Part-Time
Job Location: Head Office (SA31 2NF) with occasional travel to our services across South Wales and hybrid working.
Employment Type: Full-time, 24 Hours per week
Base Salary: £28,000 Per Annum pro-rated (19,600 for Part Time)
Essentials
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team at M&D Care, supporting the Marketing Coordinator. This role requires strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will work proactively, supporting multiple marketing activities simultaneously. High attention to detail and accuracy will be required for all tasks.
Qualifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Familiarity with marketing or design tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, or Mailchimp (advantageous, not essential).
* Understanding of digital marketing channels including social media, email and websites.

Full description

The Marketing Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and creative support to the marketing department. This role is ideal for an organised, proactive individual who enjoys coordinating content, supporting internal communications, and contributing to marketing and engagement initiatives across the organisation.
You will be based at our brand new Carmarthen office, easily commutable from Swansea, and part of a collaborative team where knowledge is shared and career growth is encouraged.
Role and Responsibilities
Administrative & Coordination Support
* Perform general administrative duties to support the marketing department.
* Maintain and update marketing databases, including Monday (Project Management Application) and mailing lists.
* Monitor stock levels of marketing merchandise and ensure timely reordering.
* Arrange digital gift cards and certificates for staff recognition.
Content & Communications
* Collect, organise and catalogue photos and videos from services.
* Ensure all consent forms are completed, signed and stored correctly.
* Communicate with Service Managers and teams to gather stories, updates and outcomes for internal communications.
* Assist in creating content for social media posts, newsletters, website updates and promotional materials.
* Update marketing collateral such as presentations, brochures and flyers.
* Support updates for internal TV screens including celebratory posts, recognition and vacancies.
* Coordinate recognition of key national days across internal and external channels.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
* Support management of company social media accounts including scheduling and engagement monitoring.
* Assist in generating reports on website analytics and social media metrics.
Awards, Events & Campaign Support
* Collate award nominations from Service and Area Managers for external awards, ensuring complete and timely submissions.
* Support marketing and internal events including venue booking, logistics coordination and award ceremonies.
Research & Insights
* Conduct market research to identify trends, sector insights and competitor activity.
Experience
* Previous experience in marketing, social media or administrative support (desirable but not essential).
* Experience coordinating content or supporting communications activities is beneficial.
Desirable
* Experience using design or marketing platforms such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or Mailchimp.
* Knowledge of social media scheduling and analytics tools.
* Creative mindset with eagerness to contribute ideas.
* Proactive, flexible and self motivated approach to work.
* Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
