EduTalent is working with a specialist school in Brighton that is looking to appoint a passionate Art and Music Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a 4-day per week, long-term supply role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The school supports students with additional learning needs and provides a creative, inclusive environment where students are encouraged to express themselves and develop confidence through the arts. Job Description Plan and deliver engaging Art and Music lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN Teach small groups in a supportive, specialist setting Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs and EHCP targets Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression through the arts Work closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN support staff to ensure students are fully supported Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment Maintain high standards of safeguarding and student wellbeing Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification Experience teaching Art at secondary level Music teaching experience is desirable but not essential Experience working with SEN students (desirable but not essential) Strong classroom management and differentiation skills Creative, patient, and adaptable teaching approach Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive school team Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply Benefits Immediate start available 4 days per week for improved work-life balance Competitive daily pay rates Opportunity for a long-term role with potential to become permanent Support from EduTalent throughout the recruitment and placement process Opportunity to work in a creative and supportive specialist school environment
