Senior EC&I Engineer
Location: Haydock, St Helens / Cockermouth, Cumbria / Remote with occasionally site visits

Contracted hours: Full time – 36hrs per week (we offer an option to condense full time hours into 4 days Monday – Thursday) / Part time
About the role
The successful candidate will be a competent and proven Senior EC&I Engineer, with expertise across the engineering lifecycle of complex systems in highly regulated sectors. They will deliver technical solutions for complex systems and be responsible for checking and approving designs, supporting calculations, and technical documents (including plans) with minimal supervision. The role requires the ability to translate client requirements into effective engineering and technical solutions. Strong communication skills are essential for regular client engagement and active participation in design reviews throughout the project.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Maintain engineering quality and compliance with client specifications, engineering standards, and relevant legislation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Take responsibility for the technical quality of complex, fit-for-purpose engineering systems.
* Apply lifecycle and maturity management principles to ensure robust and reliable system delivery.
* Generate, review, and update technical documentation in line with client specifications.
* Lead design and system-level reviews, ensuring designs meet project and client requirements.
* Uphold confidentiality and security of client data while supporting effective project delivery.
About you
What you’ll bring
* Professional registration with an approved body at the level of IEng.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
* Working knowledge of ISO, BS and related standards including Def-Stan 08-123 and Def-Stan 00-035 for ECI systems
Nice to have
* A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

* 36 hours full time working
